At the Junior League of Phoenix we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next.  

Our current community goal of empowering women and girls can be achieved by setting up women and girls to be financially powerful in their communities, improving job prospects for women and girls in our community, and setting up women and girls for academic success.  

Our goal is to help Phoenix women develop civic leadership skills through the work they do, then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. Our current focus of empowering women and girls to be academically and financially successful, gives women opportunities to grow, while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.

The Junior League of Phoenix offers so much more than local volunteering opportunities! Our League of leaders creates real change by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit the communities of the greater Phoenix area. By giving women the tools to lead, educating them about their communities’ needs, and helping them put their unique brand of creativity and skill to work, Junior Leage of Phoenix is making a big impact on Phoenix and its surrounding areas.  

We’re Transforming Arizona Communities By Challenging the Status Quo 

No matter what we’re currently focusing on, the Junior League of Phoenix’s work centers around improving our local communities through effective action and leadership. We have identified Empowering Women and Girls as the most pressing issue in our community right now, and we are helping local women take action to resolve it. So far this year, we have partnered with Girl Scouts – Arizona-Cactus Pine to develop a new mobile programming space to help bring quality programs to more girls, including communities where there is a lack of resources,a and with Live & Learn’s Empower Hour events to provide the financial and volunteer support to leverage the current program to reach more women in the community and create and execute new workshops and activities. We believe that these impactful actions have the power to bring us closer to our goal of helping Phoenix women become financially and academically successful.
